So What Happened?

OK - he has thrown up twice today. Once at school and once after nap. Hasn't eaten anything new or different - has no fever but is kind of slow moving. 2 hours ago he had 1/2 a cup of gatorade and 2 saltine crackers - just came out all over my floor :( Oddly it was purple gatorade and everything coming up up is yellowish? If he had stomach flu, wouldn't he throw up right away?

I don't know-how long has this been going on? If it is more than a couple of days-they should be seen by a doctor. could be abug-try to give fluids and don't push solids-bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast-try that for now. See how the weekend goes-and if no improvement-call the doc.

Probably picked up a bug. If this happens frequently, it could be food allergies or something like samonella. My daughter had that and would throw up about once every other day after eating. After being treated, she was fine.

its flu or some other bug or he ate something that might have been rank...
give him fluids and let his digestive tract settle. We dont ALWAYs get a fever when we are sick. Dirty hands can make you sick.... his or someone elses that touched his food, plate or glass. Keep your kitchen clean so you know you arent the culprit.

Sounds like a stomach bug. My daughter pukes right away and often with a stomach bug and always ends up in the hospital with dehydration and other complications. My son on the other hand only throws up periodically, often many hours after eating and almost never gets dehydrated. Kids are all different. My son also does not get a fever with stomach bugs, but my daughter often does. Even with the same bug. It really just sounds like a bug, I would keep him home for a few days and let him rest. Remembering stomach are passed on mostly after symptoms are gone, so keep him home from school for a few days so he doesn't pass it to all his classmates and teachers. Hope he feels better soon.

A little more info would help? Did she eat something new? Does this happen every time? Has she been exposed to the flu? Did she throw up once or continuously? No way to answer without more details, sorry.

Hard to tell. Is he feverish? Lathargic? Super sleepy? Can he keep anything else, down like water?? He could have a stomach virus. Which In that case get him pedialyt. Pleanty of fluids (water, dilluted apple juice, chicken broth). Easy things to eat so if he gets sick again the ate soft coming up, Like noodles or bread. Just let him munch on his own pace.

If he doesn't get sick anymore, his stomach may have just rejected something sour? Like cheese or meat.

Good luck.
