Has any one heard of shy bowels? Can a 2 year old have this? He has regular bowel movements my sons goes 1 to 2 times a day and he always has when he is at my house or when he is at his grandparents house! When he is with his mother she says he does not have bowel movements and she says that he is always sick and that she has to give him tylenol I have raised my son practicely full time intil recently I agreed that his mother could have part-time custody back! Other than a few minor illnesses (cold, ear infection) he has been healthy! I have only given had to give him tylenol a very few timesI My son is always happy to be with me and when I put him in his carseat to visit his mother he starts crying and throws a fit (this breaks my heart)/ I want my son to have his mother in his life I know she loves him .

What can I do next?

I responded to your post the other day on this subject and I did advise that he might be suffering from shy bowel. I don't know that there is an age limit on that so I'd say yes, he could have shy bowel.

It REALLY looks like you want someone to say no so you can blame his mother for something. I'm sorry you don't seem to like her or her parenting style, but she is the child's mother.

And I believe you are posting about your grandson, not your son, right?

I don't believe that you want her in his life; everything else you post belies that sentiment.

This child's father is your son, correct? Then he needs to address the health and well-being of his son in her care, and if he thinks she is overmedicating or something, he can discuss his concerns with the child's pediatrician.

So is this your son or grandson? This is the second pooping question you have asked about your son/grandson. Why is she always giving him tylenol? Is she a fit parent? Your son/grandson clearly does not want to be there. It sounds like being with her stresses him out.

I know that my boys only like to poop at home. Even when they were two and in diapers, they would hold it all day if we were out and about, then poop the minute we got in the door. They won't go at school or at frineds houses. When we go on vacations and camping it usually takes them a couple of days before they go. I must admit I am the same as well. It could just be that he isn't comfortable enough with his mother yet to let go, and in turn gets a little miserable, making her think he might be sick.
