I just cook up some pasta (I like shells or bow ties), cook up the shrimp (peeled and sauteed), then mix them together and pour Alfredo sauce over the top of it.
The sauce is easy.

1/4 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dried basil

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat.
Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes, then add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through.
Stir in basil and serve (pour over pasta and shrimp).

I have the best and easiest alfredo recipe! I usually add chicken and broccoli, but you could add whatever you wanted, once the sauce is made!

**My note: the garlic is really strong, so I usually cut that down a lil bit. I also use skim milk, light cream cheese and light parmessan for a healthier version! Best of luck!

Easy alfredo

1 small boxes of Fettuccini noodles
2 Tablespoon of butter
1 Tablespoon of garlic salt
2 cups of milk
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
1 cup of parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile in large saucepan, melt butter and mix in garlic salt. Add milk and heat just to boiling; stir in cream cheese. Reduce heat, stirring constantly until cream cheese is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese. Toss hot pasta and sauce. Serve immediately.

If you like the way your MIL makes it just ask her for the recipe. I make alfredo all the time but I don't follow a recipe, just a combination of cream, butter, parmesan and garlic.

Cook pasta according to box instructions
Sautee shrimp with salt pepper and a little garlic and toss in with the pasta

For the sauce:
Simmer a carton of heavy whipping cream on very low heat until it reduces to about half, be careful with the heat, you dont want to cream to curdle or boil
Add the zest of a lemon
Pour over pasta and sprinkle on about a cup and a half of parmesean cheese
Toss together until cheese melts, sauce will thicken up as it cools a little

Super fattening, but super delicious:)

Mine is easy - I just make a basic white sauce (butter flour, milk or cream), add a little black pepper and garlic, then add shrimp and shrooms.
