Should I Be Worried About Her Sleep

Out of 4 children none of them sleep like my 8 month old.
The last couple of nights she wakes up at 2-2:30 I go into her room and give her, her bottle (I'm trying to break night time bottle) so I give it to her and do not pick her up. then she is up and ready to face the day at 5-5:30. She goes to bed at 9-9:30, but it seems like when 7 1/2 to 8 hours are up she says ok time to start the day!

What can I do next?

Much research has shown that the best bedtime for a child under the age of 2 is between 6:30 and 8:00. Not that there aren't exceptions, but if you are having trouble, it's worth exploring the possibility that you have kinds screwing with her body clock by keeping her up so late. Try putting her down 10 minutes earlier each night or every-other night for a week or two and see if it changes her sleep habits.

I agree that she is going to bed too late. Try gradually putting her down 15 minutes earlier for a couple days until you get her to about 730 or 8 and see if that helps. Also, if you don't want to cut the night bottle cold turkey, what we did with our son was switch from milk to water at night. Eventually he just didn't wake for it anymore. Good luck

Hi M.
Well your daughter is going to bed too late. She should be in bed by 7:30 PM and have 2 naps (short one in the morning and longer in the afternoon). Do not feed her at night. She doesn't need to eat but it's her way of soothing herself back to sleep. Try to give her another soother. Cut the bottle out cold turkey. If you need more hlep, try the Sleep Sense book. it's an online book written by a sleep consultant and it's great. Good luck.

I don't think she's going to be too late. My almost 11 month old will NOT fall asleep before 9:00. She's always been like that. I think babies sort of set their own schedules. We went through this EXACT same thing for the first 9 months of my dd's life. She was never a good sleeper. We switched her to table foods at 9 months and she sleeps like a dream most nights. There is the occasional night when she wakes up and can't put herself back to sleep, but they are few and far between. I really think that she was just hungry! Now she goes to bed at 9:00 and sleeps till 8:30! YAY! :) Do you let her fuss for a few minutes before you go in with the bottle? Not cry it out though. We started letting her fuss for just a couple of minutes (5 at most) and she just started putting herself back to sleep. Good Luck! I know what it's like to operate on just a few hours sleep.
