son spits up a bright yellowish color after a feeding (the last one was two spit ups the size of a finger tip)? This has happened so far on two separate occassions. Usually the first few feeding in the morning. Is this normal and should I contact my Peditrician?

What can I do next?

Definetly call the doctor and as others said, they may switch the formula if your buying formula. But if your breast feeding, is could be something you ate or do you have a breast infection? You can have one and not know it. Or possibly there could be a medical issue. I would do this right away. Good Luck

If you are so concerned about his spitting up and the color of it, you should talk with his pediatrician to find out whether he is prone to what he is eating. For us, we're not doctors and we cannot give you advice. Please talk with his pediatrician. Good luck and congrats on your new son. May god bless you and your family.

You do know say if he is breast or bottle: If breast, what did YOU eat? If bottle, that's not normal and take a sample to the doc, or email him a photo w/question.
Sounds like bile to me. Could also be mucous(allergies).
Depends on texture.
Good luck!

I would call the doc. My little had that and I was told a blockage could cause it. My little girl had to have an upper GI, which sucked but it was nice knowing she was ok. She was only 3-months at the time, so she has long forgotten about it.

This happen to my first daughter. Only a couple of times, but the pedi actually had me switch formula to soy. If you are only breastfeeding, I don't know what the pedi would have you do. But I would at least call your doctor and ask.
