Shorts That Are Not Too Short??

if you sew you could add a piece of eyelet lace or similar to the bottom :) very girly and super cute and lengthens at the same time :)

Oh Lisa, I understand your dilemma! I have a daughter age 4 and I am always on the search for appropriate length in shorts. I have been buying her capris, bermudas and biker shorts. I use bikers shorts from Gymboree ( because they always have differnt colors)to go under her dress so she can play and I don't have to worry about panty exposure. May I suggest the bikers and bermudas. You said your daughter is super skinny, the biker shorts will be a closer fit and may not fall off of her.The bermuda shorts are popular again and you may find them in more stores.I know Gymboree can be expensive. But I have been pleased with what I have gotten there. Also you may want to try Landsend. I love them too! There girls selection is good and you will find better lengths in shorts there as well. Try buying from the boys section, I find that they are almost too long for my son. The jean ones are very unisex. It's nice to see a parent that cares. We would have a much safer world if there were more parents like you. Good luck.

Not sure if you sew, I TOTALLY agree. Shorts are WAY to short today. I have twin girls (5 1/2), last year I ended up making several skorts. I went to Joann fabrics and bought very cute cotton material and my mom actually ( not me) made the cutest skorts. Easy to make according to her. They wash up great. Good luck!!

I do not really know I just wanted to say you are a great mother for not buying shorts that are too short. It seems to be the style but that does not make it right. Good luck.
