saw the perfect idea for you....

take a photo of the 3 of you. Make it into a photo card using the popular credit card commercial as a format:

COST OF NEW OUTFITS: $150
COST OF PHOTO CARDS: $45
COST OF KNOWING THERE ARE 4 OF US IN THIS PHOTO: priceless.

I think it's an adorable way to share the news! Congrats..... Oh, & the forum where I read this idea had 2 ways to share the cards. You could either send them out & write on the envelopes "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL WE ARE ON THE PHONE TOGETHER" ...or you could hand them out at a family gathering & see the responses on everybody's faces!

when we told our families about our second one last year at Christmas, we got our son a "I'm the big brother" shirt and waited for them to notice what it said. (one of the gramma's read it out loud, and then promplty returned to cooking. Took a minute before she freaked out!) It was fun!

Congrats T....my sister did a fun thing when she announced her pregnancy. She got a baby-themed picture frame (hers was the wood kind with etched sayings in it about grandparents) and then put in the ultrasound photo. You probably are too early for an ultrasound photo, but maybe you could incorporate some type of baby picture. The other thing my sister did for her new baby's aunts, she made a dummy baby shower invitation showing the hostesses as me and my other sister and just picked a date about 7 months out. Have a happy and blessed Holiday season!

We did the im going to be a big sister shirt for my 2 year old to wear. We went to my familys house and my sister said im going to be a big sister what does that mean to me. I said well what it says. She goes are you pregnant. I said yes. It was a very cute way to tell them:)

I am the big brother/sister t-shirt for your 1st child to wear.

I'm with Stacey on the t-shirt idea, except my family didn't even notice lol. They thought it just must be a hand-me-down. :) I ended up just having to say it for them.
You could also wrap the positive pregnancy test up to give to your mom/dad as a gift.

Since it's for the holidays, maybe hang up an extra little stocking and have family/friends over. Or wrap up a baby bootie and give it as a present.

My favorite is getting a big brother/sister shirt for the older sibling. Take some nice pictures of them wearing it or get professional ones and send them to family and friends. :)

Congrats!!! For our third child we made everyone a stocking and put a pacifier in them and told everyone that there was something really special inside.... no one really got it though and had to tell everyone the news lol. For our 4th child I printed out pictures of a "bun in an oven" and then on the back wrote out a little poem that went something like this..." this bun hasn't been baking for long, but will soon be done and fully baked sometime around (due date). That one was a lot of fun and everyone got that one pretty quick! I had a friend tell all their family members at a gathering, but told them all individually and told them all not to tell anyone and waited to see who cracked first! Have fun with whatever you decide to do!!!

I gave my parents a bunch of recent photographs to look through - I told them they were of my daughter and I'd just gotten them developed - I tucked the first sonogram picture of our son in the pile, and when they got to it, we all yelled "surprise!" :)

Love, love, love Sue H's idea! I like the idea of printing the picture and framing it for all of them and wrapping it....making sure they all open it at the same time. Or you could actually do your holiday cards this year, BUT make them "happy new year" cards, that way your family knows first, but then you send them out Dec 26 to the rest of extended family and friends? Sign it - Love, Hubby, T., first child name*
(under that line put your *line: *Baby No. 2 to be named xx/xx/xx (enter your due date) Cute idea! Congrats and have fun with it!

Congrats!! Last Holiday season my girlfriend bought onesies with sayings on them to give to family to open up. Example: I love Nana, and such. Some she found at target and others she found on line to customize to important family members, as her parents are divorced. Then her new bundle of joy was able to wear these special outfits when with that family member. They loved it!!
