Has anyone tried the horse mane shampoo? Does it really make your hair grow. I bought some yesterday and tried and it made my hair soo soft. My hair is sooo short and it won't grow.

I've used it before and for as long as I remember I've heard my mom say it makes ur hair grow. To be honest..it didn't work for me. But alot of people swear by it! So maybe it depends on the person. Keep us posted to see if it worked for you!
I tried it years ago, and I guess it was ok. I had been dying my hair, so it was fried by then - but I think it helped. You should try the new Dove ProAge shampoo and conditioner. I has done wonders for my flat, thin hair.
Good luck!
I am a hairstylist that can tell you it, like Pantene, makes your hair soft, but that is only initially. It really isn't good for you hair because it dries you hair out and makes your scalp oily. I would discontinue use as soon as possible. What is making your hair soft is the waxes in the shampoo. And as we lose our hair daily, the waxes are building into your follicle and will then clog your follicle, and then the new hair will not be able to grow back.
Good Luck to you,
S.
I've been using it for years, and my hair is past my butt. I don't know if the shampoo itself makes it grow, or if the fact that your scalp and hair is healthier makes it seem that way.
I did a couple of years ago when it first came out or maybe it was longer?
Anyways though working really well, I did not notice any really fast hair growth or anything. It was just a nice shampoo for what I experienced
Yeah my sister and nieces used it and they have really long and thick hair. I grew mine with prenantel vitamins even if i wasnt pregnant. Also cutting the split ends helps. Well i hope your hair grows really really long butt girl it is hot out there.
I used that stuff when I was in junior high, and no it doesn't make your hair grow. Plus its expensive, I'd just stick with Suave!
If you really want your hair to grow, you might look into changing your diet. contrary to popular belief what you put on your hair will not make it grow faster. it is an internal, biological situation that goes on within your body to produce the nutrients that gives your body what it needs to grow the hair. you can use any kind of conditioner, shampoo and it will make it feel soft, silky, but it wont grow your hair.
Well I love the horse shampoo but I didnt really notice it getting longer . It did get thicker. Well I hope that it works for you. I do know people who said it works bbut I dont Know. Try it and see if you like it.
No, shampoo will not speed up the growth process. Time is definately the factor. I've heard many testify that prenatal vitamins do help. If nothing else you'll be helping your body
Hi C.,
I have tried the shampoo, and I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the only thing that will make your hair grow is time. I used to have short hair and found that getting a trim every few months to help remove the dead ends and also eating a healthy diet will greatly increase your hair growth. Good luck!
I dont think that it will make your hair grow but it does work really well.I grew up around horses and we used to acuatually use that shampoo all the time.I am not sure it ever made my hair grow though.Sorry i am not very helpful.lol
I have used the mane and tail shampoo before also and it made my hair healthy. If you use it for a long period of time it will grow faster because it has made your hair more healthy. I hope this helped
