I lost a lot of weight with Somersize - 30lbs in about 1 1/2 months. I have all the books and cd's. My husband even lost weight too. I did have a hard time at first on level one because I love carb's! Eating small meals every 2-3 hours helped keep my blood sugars up and it can speed your metabolism up too. It got better, I promise! To curve my sugar cravings, I would start out every morning with an all fruit smoothie I would get tropical fun fruit from Plow Boys or Costco, like mango, papaya, pineapple, strawberry and put it in the blender with a little fresh juice or water. When I couldn't find it fresh, I would get it frozen and Costco has a big selection of frozen fruit. Then I would eat proteins/veggies the rest of the day. I soon started incorporating small portions of healthy carb's, like high fiber cereal and breads and pasta. I like the "Dream" brand of whole wheat pasta.
The basic thing is eating healthy, using moderation and incorporate some excersize! Try to get in at least 30 minutes of fun exercise a day...at the very least 3 times a week.
Try to stay away from anything with Aspartame (nutrasweet/equal) though, it is in a lot of sugar-free foods and has been known to cause gradual and eventually severe damage to the neurological system, immune system and causes permanent genetic damage at extremely low doses.
