Sensitive Flushables?

My son is using the potty now, and I'd like to use the flushable cloths more frequently. The Kandoo brand is too harsh on his tushy. Can anyone recommend a soft, sensitive, flushable wipe? Thanks much.

So What Happened?

I'm sticking with the Pampers Sensitive that have worked since day one with my son. NO MORE FLUSHABLES! I don't know what I was thinking--it's not my normal practice to not think environmentally. Thanks everyone!

My husband is a plumber and says that you shouldn't flush those "flushable" wipes. They will end up clogging the toilet and it will cost you to have it cleared.

Charmin makes flushable wipes. I think they are cheaper too than the toddler wipes. Usually you can find them in the toilet paper section in the grocery store rather than the baby dept since they are for adults as well. I've used them on my son and found them to be softer.

I would caution you that the "flushable" wipes can plug up your toilet and if you have a septic tank will not breakdown and can cause lots of problems. Regular TP should do the job.

Hi, We use the baby wipes (Huggies, etc) and throw them in a covered waist basket. The wipes were gentle enough when they were babies. We just can't put flushable wipes in our septic field. I know it's not the green way to go but I do 80% green in every other part of my life so I feel like I am doing my part. This is our one little vice.

Hi. Our two girls use the Huggies brand and no problems with their tushies or our septic system. :)

For a different aspect ...think of your pipes. We recently had a plumber out to snake our pipes and he advised us never to put anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. Even if it says it's flushable, not to use it because it will eventually clog your pipes.

Hi LH!

Actually, my son uses the Kandoo wipes as well, but he uses the Sensitive kind. Do you use those? Kandoo is made by Pampers, and I have always used the Pampers Sensitive baby wipes, so now I use the Sensitive flushable wipes as well. They are alcohol free and fragrant free. Not all stores have them (the package is white). Target always carries them for sure! Walmart also carries them, and I think Babies R Us does too. The Kandoo Sesitive wipes are the only ones I've been able to find that are both fragrant and alcohol-free, but if anyone else knows of another brand, please tell me where to find them!

My kids (4 1/2 year old boys) use the Cottonelle for Kids. There's regular Cottonelle wipes that come in a blue container and the one for kids comes in a green container with animals all over it. It's the softest ones we've found and they don't sting unless their bottom is already irritated. The adult and kids wipes are the same price and you can reuse the container and buy refills.
