I have a 13 month old little girl that I would like to get into swim lessons this summer. We live in the northwest side of the city, but would be willing to travel to the suburbs for good instruction. thanks!

What can I do next?

The Forest Park pool is great for lessons. But any park district should ahve them.

I took my son to the Gaulter center for swim lessons. The lessons are in a heated, indoor therapy pool so it's great for young kids. You don't have to be a member either. He was about 8 months old when we took lessons and there were about 10 other kids in the class. I cannot remember the exact address but it's right around Foster and California. Have fun!

Check with your local YMCA.

I definitely recommend the YMCA for swim lessons. They are expensive, but infinitely better than other places I know of. Especially with such a young child, you don't want a negative first experience. Good luck.
