Seeking Question About Preschool for My Daughter

Good for you! You said you're moving to the Dallas area - I don't know about Dallas, only Plano/Frisco. There are lots of good church-based programs around Plano and I know a lot of people are happy with Spanish School House up in Frisco. Just start calling and do your interviews over the phone. Sometimes you can get in on a waiting list around Christmas as families move out of the area. I only know of one preschool that charges for a spot on the wait list, so you can sign up with many! Good luck!

We live in Lakewood and a group of us Moms are launching a new website called Savvy source for parents. It is going to list all of the preschools in Dallas. There is an overview of all schools both by parents and by the directors so that you know what tuition, teaching styles, ect. Although it is not up yet it should be soon. So here are some of my personal recomendations: My twins go to Saint michaels. It is affiliated with Episcopal School of Dallas. It is great because they teach your kids the foundation for entering upper tier private schools. If you are interested then you need to call them asap because next years admission applications are due next week. ###-###-####. Ask for child development office and then tell them you want to know where to start for the application process.

Another great school is The Childrens Place. I went there when I was in pre-school and I have very fond memories. I hope this helps. (and keep checking the saavy source for parents web site)
