Hello Everyone,

I wanted your input in finding a PCP in the far North Side of Chicago. We are near the border of Park Ridge, Niles and Morton Grove. It's time for the adults to find a great doctor for general visits. We have a fabulous pediatrician for our 4year old daughter but never take the time for us. I figured if we plan to be here for her, we better start taking care of ourselves.

We do have PPO so we want someone who listens and isn't always late or in a rush to get you out. Doesn't matter if it's a male or female doctor, just one with great reviews. Please include hospital affiliations and contact numbers if possible.

Thanks for your help!

I go to Dr. Zimmerman at Garcia, Rosenberg & Associates. You can find their info if you Google their names. Their office is easy to get to and I like the thoroughness of their practice.
Good luck.

My husband and I go to Dr. Paul Meyer. His office is in the Oak Mill Mall on Milwaukee and Oakton across from Jerry's Fruit Market. He is excellent. He practices with his brother Dr. Mike. He is very good too. They are both nice, great bedside manner and listen. They are affiliated with Resurrection Hospital on Talcott and I think Lutheran General. I am not sure about LG. I actually liked them so much better then my pediatrician, I switched my kids to them. The phone number is 1-###-###-####.

Hello,
I don't know how far this is from you, but our doctor is at Lincoln/Devon and is totally worth the drive for us. I 'shopped around' for a new doctor about a year after the birth of my daughter as I had a terrible hospital/post partum experience with our previous physicians. My accupuncturist recommended her doctor, Dr. Jutovsky, and he is phenomenal; our whole family sees him now. On my first visit he took the time to listen/talk over my previous bad experience and to develop a plan for how we want health care to go for our family. On my daughter's first visit with him he cautiously sent us for an xray to determine why her breathing was a bit heavy, and lo and behold she had a massive chest tumor which we have thankfully removed. Even though he did not have privileges at Children's Hospital, he still called us regularly through the whole process to keep abreast of any new developments. I have never felt rushed with him, and I feel like he really cares for us and takes all of our concerns into consideration. The nurses and staff also seem to work well together and the office is clean and efficient.
Dr. J is affiliated with Swedish Covenant (though we also have a PPO and can go anywhere if he recommends a specialist). His number is ###-###-####.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

Jen
