Seeking Pediatrician Recommendations in Calver County, Md

I would highly recommend Dr. Raja Hawit who is just off of Rt. 4, in Huntingtown. I actually picked Dr. Lukban for my first child because I knew of someone who took their children there and I was not thinking way ahead like you. The wait in that office is crazy! I have never gotten out of there in less than 2 hours and it's NOT because the Doctors give you all that time - it's waiting! I kept going to Dr.Lukban/Dr.Silpa because I felt stuck there - Dr.Lukban was the first Doctor to see my child in the hospital and I just thought all offices were this way!? Sometimes you see whoever is available; not the Doctor you pick. I had finally had enough and swithed to Dr.Raja Hawit. I now take both children to him and love it! He is very caring and has been here a long time. You will not wait anymore than 5-7 minutes and he takes his time with your child. Hope this helps! You could also try to schedule an appt. where you get to meet these Doctors to see for yourself? Good luck!!!

I second Dr. Lukban. She's been really great with our son and takes the time to spend with us when we have a lot of questions. We never feel rushed. Our boy took to her very quickly.

My entire family has used Dr. Silpa and Lukban for years. I use them for both of my children and the office is highly thought of through the Children's Hospital Specialists that I've had to see as well. The wait can be long but that is because if you call and tell them your child is sick they will make it a point to see them that day. I have requested that my kids only see Silpa, Lukban or Ms. Melissa the nurse practitioner and thats who they see. If you make your well child appointments in advance you can also request to see whoever you want in the office. I have no problem with the other doctors but with the sinus, tonsil, and ear issues my kids have had I like them to see the same doctors over and over rather than whoever can see them. If you want to talk to the doctors that is part of the wait, they will sit and answer any questions you have as long as you speak up and ask. The doctors treat each kid as a kid rather than just a patient and truly acts as if they care for each of them. The office staff is also wonderful and very patient as well. All in all I couldn't have asked for a better doctors office.

Both of my children see Dr. Silpa, Lukban and Augustin in Huntingtown. They are wonderful. Sometimes the wait is long but it is well worth the wait. Their office is right off of Rt 4 behind the O'Brien realty office.
