My 2 girls ages 5 and 4 have been seeing Dr. Montgomery Kong at Walnut Creek Pediatric since birth. He was recommended by my obstetrician's office and we have been very happy with him. In those rare cases when he's not in the office, the other doctors there are great too.
Hi K.,
Our pediatrician is Philip A. Rush, M.D. He was recommended to us by a nurse friend of ours when I was pregnant with my first child. When I was in the hospital after delivering my baby, the nurses there commented how much they loved him and that they used him for their children as well. Of course, that made me feel more at ease. He is very dedicated and a good doctor. He is on Gregory Lane in Pleasant Hill, and his number is ###-###-####.
Before you choose a doctor, be sure to set up a meeting with each so you can get a feel for them and their offices. Then follow your instincts.
Good luck!!!
Lisa Asta is our pediatrician. She was recommended to us when we had our baby (who is now five months old) by a mom with three children.
We really like her.

I have 2 girls, ages 4 and almost 2 and they love our pediatrician. Her name is Dr. Tessie Okamura and her office is on Ygnacio Valley. She is part of Muir Pediatrics. She is gentle, sweet and very responsive to the girls. She talks to them directly rather than over their heads so that they feel a part of the process and not so overwhelmed.

I have a 6 month old and was referred to Dr. Montgomery Kong of Walnut Creek Pediatrics from a ton of friends with kids. They are located off San Miguel Drive in Walnut Creek (kind of behind Macy's) and their phone # is ###-###-####. He is fantastic!
Not sure what insurance you have. But if you are a Kaiser member there is a great Doctor at their Martinez campus; Dr. Covin.
Good luck.
Dr. Montgomery Kong is the best. My siblings and I went to him all throughout our childhood, and I will now be taking my baby to him, once he is born. He can always fit you in, he's very nice, and just a great guy overall. My whole family would highly recommend him!!! He's just truly the best!!!
My five kids go to Lafayette peds. Dr. Maria Steelman. Very close to W.C. She even gives you her cell phone to call night or day.
Hi K.
Bayside Pediatrics has offices all over the Bay Area including Walnut Creek. We love Dr. Weiss-Ishai. I have seen most of the doctors there and now I only try to have my son she her. She is very friendly and generally seems to be happy to see your child. We really like her. You can go to their website and read bios of the doctors. I only have the Pleasanton office number, ###-###-####. If you call they can give you the Walnut Creek number. Good luck.

We go to Tessie Okamura, too, and we like her a lot. She is very gentle with the kids and very easy for parents to talk to. She's thorough, practical, and very real-world; when she's concerned about something, we know we need to listen. We have been very pleased with her staff as well, particularly with her advice nurse, Maureen.
Hi K.! My children have been under the care of Walnut Creek Pediatrics ###-###-####) for 8 years. I've had wonderful experiences with everyone in the group. There are three doctors, Dr. Kong, Dr. Lustig, and Dr. Chua-Lim all of whom are great! The office decor is kind of old and dated, but is compensated by the warm and friendly staff. I would definitly recommend setting up a meeting with them.

We loved our pediatrician but since we had to switch insurance we can no longer go to him (we have Kaiser now). His name is Dr. Charles Hanson and his number is ###-###-####. He can be blunt and to the point at times but will spend all the time you need if you have questions. During my daughters' annual, he spent about and hour and a half talking about behavior and and answering my questions. We miss him dearly!
We've been working with Toby Lustig at 1822 San Miguel in Walnut Creek for 10 years. It's over by Whole Foods. Great doctor, and he did his residency at Children's Hospital in Oakland, so if things hit the fan, he has contacts to get things done quickly. Number is ###-###-####. Good luck! J.
I can highly recommend Phillip Rush. His office is in Pleasant Hill. I have three children (6, 6, and 7 1/2), each with behavior and/or medical specialty issues. He is terrific, patient, and never makes us feel hurried. I would highly recommend him.
Welcome! I have a 3-year-old son who has been seeing Dr. Arsenault (female)since birth at the Kaiser Park Shadelands location (off Ygnacio Valley Blvd.). We love her! We also like going to this location for routine check-ups b/c it is smaller than the main WC hospital. I highly recommend her, if you have Kaiser. Another mommy friend takes her 2-year-old son to Dr. Kim (also female) at the same location. Good luck!
I really like our pediatrician Dr. Andrew Nash. We live in Walnut Creek and he is down in Alamo, near the Alamo Plaza. We have been seeing him for 6 years. My second was a newborn at the time.
