Hello,
I am considering switching pediatricians after my son's one-year wellness check-up in a few weeks. I find myself questioning the practioners' advice in the practice I go to now, and I don't "connect" with the doctors there, if that makes any sense. It's not that they have done anything wrong, per se, but I just don't feel overwhelmingly confident in their advice and would like to see what other experiences people have had with pediatricians in the Livonia area.

I am not sure who you have seen, but my children go to Brentwood Pediatrics. It is on 7 mile road just east of Farmington. Dr. Marcus, Dr. Ajay, and Rachel (P.A.) are awesome. I was hesitant when I first went because the building is old, but they have a nice staff. My kids like going there (especially because of the Pac-Man games in the waiting area). I just started taking my two year old to Dr. Marcus office and so far we have been there twice and it has been a pleasure they gave him stickers and all kinds of little things before we walked out and also they were pleasant. Seems to be a really nice and good Doctors and nurses.
My pediatrician is Edgewood Pediatrics located in Commerce. It's a little further away for you, but they are fantastic!!! My little boy just turned 1 year old and I've been with this group of doctors since he was born. My two favorite docs are Gendelman and Purman with this group. Wow I wonder if our kids have the same pediatrician because I too am going to look for another one. The one that my kids go to now is a practice of 4 Dr's. We get a different one all the time and each one has different opinions. Another person responded about a Dr Marcus. I had called him one time to try to get a second opinion about my child. I called different dr's and no one would speak to me because my child wasnt a patient of theirs. When I called Dr Marcus's office, he got on the phone with me and explained to where I understood what he was talking about. That is another problem that I have with my childrens dr. They dont really explain things and then they kind of dismiss it. Sorry I am rambling...Anyways this Dr Marcus was super nice on the phone and I liked him alot from just talking to him. I would love to switch to himbut they dont take our insurance. Good luck in finding a Dr you like.
