My EDD is in December and I just moved to the Baymeadows area. I am trying to find a pediatrician to take my son to when the time comes. I already have heard of one, not in my area. But wasn't particularly impressed. Please help!!

What can I do next?

It is a little bit further, but I take my kids to Jennifer Chally at Augustine Oaks Family Practice on Old St. Augustine Road, and we LOVE HER. We used to go to Carithers Pediatrics, and I like Kim Sanchez. But the problem with Carithers is they are SO busy, and such a big practice, you hardly ever get to see the same doctor. With Dr. Chally, you get to see her every time, and she even calls sometimes to check up on the kids when they are sick. She is very personable, and really cares about my kids. It should only take about 5 minutes from Baymeadows to get to Old St. Aug. I will never change, even if we move across town!

Not sure how far you want to travel, but I take my girls to Baptist Pediatrics - it's down BAymeadows, onto San Jose Blvd. ( It's not technically Baymeadows though.) But it is a wonderful group of doctors, who really care about children.

I have a pediatrician off of Baymeadows on Bayberry (across from IHOP). Dr. Carlos Arango, I absolutely LOVE him! He not only takes the time to talk to my son on his level he also takes the time to talk to me on my level. He's very kind & gentle. I "interviewed" 5 pediatricians while I was pregnant & he was my absolute favorite.

Check this website out for more info on him:

Good Luck!

Carithers Pediatric Group has an office in Perimeter Park, which is on Southside Blvd just north of Butler Blvd. Their phone number is ###-###-####. I've been taking my daughter there for 8 years and we absolutely love them. Their web site is www.carithersgroup.com.

I just took my son to a new dr today, who was HIGHLY recommended to me, and she was GREAT! She was extremely thorough, writing down his entire history. My son has recurring ear infections, and asthma..so this was important to me. She was very sweet, listened to everything I had to say/ask. She asked ALL kinds of questions, from his eating habits, to his developmental stage, words he is saying, etc. I also liked the staff, and the office area was very clean & well maintained. I am not quick to recommend people unless I fully feel like they are worth it, and I definitely do with her...and like I said, this was our first time there. She is with Childrens Medical Group, name is Dr Susan White. She apparently only works two days a week, but the other dr (Dr Zimmerman) was also recommended, who works most of the time I guess. Let me know if you need the phone number or anything. Oh yeah! I am also on Southside on Baymeadows..her office is on San Jose, only took me maybe 15 mins to get there. They also have an office on University, which btw is open on the weekends for emergencies! Good luck in your search! :)
