you could do a princess theame. You could make her a pink cake and get her a crown. Maybe a shirt that says something about being a princess. My mom did this for my 25 bithday, and I enjoyed it.

I think it depends what kind of girls they are: girly girls, tomboys, cerebral. We just did a sushi/japanese for my 17 yr old. It was $15 pr girl. That included all they could eat and the room, tip and drinks were extra. Of course they loved it but it was expensive. We have also done an egyptian party with middle eastern food: hummus, lentils, pita, olives, pomegranite juice, figs, yogurt etc. I actually made a pyramid cake out of little debbie brownies, stacked on a 9x13 cake and frosted with dyed frosting(brown) and coated in crushed graham crackers. The girls played tug of war and mummy wrap, yes, even at 15 they still love that game. They could do fake henna tatoos. Don't forget the steve martin, walk like an egyptian cd. I think whatever you do girls enjoy the opportunity to interact.

When I was that age, my parents surprized me with a limo ride and dinner. THey even invited some of my friends (I think there were five of us total). And afterward, they slept over. This was twenty years ago, so I'm not sure of the cost, but just an idea.

How about a spa like experience. Masques with avocados, pedicures, manicures, etc. Cucumbers on the eyes. There are lot of things out there and if they make it themselves it could be a lot of fun.

Hi A., me and my two partners just opened up a small shop in Chesterland called Vis-a-Vis - we do fun parties for teenagers - it includes cake, food, gift basket for the birthday girl and photos. It's a little pamper/makeover party that's alot of fun, please let me know if you'd like more info.

My daughter who turned 13 just had an Asian party for her birthday! I fixed a stirfry and they sat on the floor on a rug, and ate with chopsticks! They thought it was great!

We also added fondue as the appetizer and chocolate fondue as the dessert. It was a cool way to do something different. Let me know if you need some other ideas. I used just a packaged stirfry from the store to make preparation easy.

Good luck!

I liked the Luau and slumber party ideas.

I thought about a "spa night" where they could give each other facial's, manicures, do each other's nails, wax treatments for the hands, slice up cucumbers for the eyes (reduces puffiness) or even do make-up makeovers, have a massage therapist come over to do a 5-10 minute massage for whoever wants one.

Maybe have "game night" and top if off with a movie and popcorn.

Maybe even have a day trip down to Squire Boone Caverns, top it off with a bonfire and smores, and come home and have a sleepover.

For what it's worth....good luck!

How about a rollerskating party or a movie out with the room rented out just for the party girls.

We had sweet 16 be the really big deal for our daughter and 21 the biggy for our son. I would let her have a slumber party with a makeup thing. Mary Kay or something like that. It would be fun for her and her chosen friends.

Hi. For my daughters 16yr party we did a Hawaiian Luau theme. My girlfriends helped and gave us decorations. The girls dressed in floral tops and shorts with grass skirts. They did a water balloon fight. Played volleyball in the backyard and mostly sat around talking. We made Hawaiian chicken, fruit kabobs and some potatos and veggies and dip. Very simple with ice cream cake. I found Hawaiin cups leis and each girl got to take them home. Go with solid color bright plates, sometimes you can even find the cups in solid bright colors. Keeps the cost down. Good Luck.

Hi A.,
My friend had a "Survivor Party" for her 15 year old. They did all kinds of tasks in the back yard for a grand prize. They had tiki torches, drank from coconuts and even completed tasks to cook their own food, over an open fire, get a drink ect. (Chicken/ hotdogs on sticks)After each task, they went to the "circle" surrounded by the tiki tourches and who ever did the best at the task won a stick in the yard painted colors.(Her dad timed the tasks) At the end of the tasks who had the most won the grand prize. The grand prize was tickets to Cedar Point. However, you don't have to spend that much money for a prize. You could to a manicure or pedicure gift card or something less costly. The grand prize was hush-hush too!!
Good luck!!
