Any Ideas for 15 Yr Old Girl Birthday Party??

I would make it a Luau Party. That is fun and you can buy all the stuff at Party City or Walmart. Not too expensive, definitely unique, and fun, casual atmosphere.

I thought my mom had a great idea for my party, which was a while back now... We hired a fortune teller to come to my house and give everyone their fortunes. It was a blast. The fortune teller even let us record everyone's fortunes on tape that we were able to give them as party favors. We had a pizza delivered and aside from paying the fortune teller and ordering pizza, it was pretty cheap. Definitely a different type of party that had all my friends talking!

You could let her invite a few friends and take them to a fun restaurant and then to a movie. Or if you have a Main Event around where you live you could let them go there and play games and laser tag.

For my 14 YO's party, we did a backwards theme: invites were printed backwards, 200 balloons hung down from the ceiling (no helium), the writing on the birthday cake was backwards, we had dessert first at the restaurant, etc. Even the girls were instructed to wear their clothes backwards. It was a lot of fun and not too expensive.

You could have her invite a couple of friends and do a scavenger hunt. Each clue could lead her to a different item. Maybe a total of 15 signifying the number of years...finish with smoothies that the girls can make themselves with a blender at home. The scavenger hunt can be as expansive as you like and take them to all kinds of places depending on whether or not you want to drive them around. For example if you take them to a mall where there is a food court, there are lots of things that you can arrange for them to get "free"; napkins from certain restaurants, straws, toothpicks, all kinds of things. You can make a scrapbook of photos of them with all the "loot" that they gather.

My sister in-law did this for her daughter when she turned 15 and the girls LOVED it! I can be a bit pricey but if she invited maybe 3 friends it may be an option. She took them to "The Melting Pot" fondue restaurant in Houston (on Westheimer I think near the Galleria). I went and it was a blast! They did the whole meal but the part they enjoyed the most was the dessert fondue! They have different types of chocolate mixutures to choose from and then a huge tray of dipping things (pound cake, bananas, strawberies, pineapple, marshmallows, etc.) You could even take them there for just dessert. Then the girls spent the night at my neice's house.
You could even do your own fondue party at home!

A friend of mine did a shopping party for her young teenager. She said it was a *huge hit*! It was a small group of girls, I think there were 8 of them. They were buddied up in groups of 2 and each group was given $20 (or $10 for each girl). And they also had to draw a color. Then they were let loose on the mall for 1.5-2 hours. (yes, my friend waited at a designated spot in the mall for 2 hours; each group had a cell phone; she had their phone numbers and I think called the groups every 30 minutes to check make sure they were alright. Of course, she had discussed what the party involved with the various parents beforehand.)

Each girl was to buy a $10 gift ("something they would like themselves") and the gift had to be particular color they drew. They had to keep their gift a secret (only their buddy knew what each other bought). Then, when everyone got back together, they were each given a bag to put the gift in. All the bags looked alike and were closed tight so no peeking inside. Then the bags were mixed up and each girl then chose a bag as their own... And everyone opened their gift.

Depending on how many girls and your budget, you could always increase the gift price to $12-$15.

One year my mom rented a limo to take me and a few friends out to dinner (hamburgers and milkshakes). It was a blast driving around!!!

A spa sleepover party is a GREAT idea. You can even recruit a few moms to help out as the "staff". You can print out fun labels and put them on bottled water, let the girls put whipped cream on their faces and cucumbers on their eyes. Have a massage station, hair station,fun music, do pedicures, etc. Order pizza for everybody and them let them spend the night!

My cousin did a "spa party" for her daughter. Manicures, pedicures, facials, relaxing music, light snacks. 'Sounded awesome to me! I wanted a "spa party!"

A tea party could be beautiful and does not have to cost a lot. Use your best china, crystal, silver. Purchase beautiful, tulle and some silk flowers and use this as a runner down the dinning room table.

Make finger sandwiches and go to the best bakery in town and purchase miniature pastries.
You could deliver the invitation placed inside a pretty teacup and saucer to each girls home. Go to Ross or Tuesday morning to purchase the cups and saucers.

Ask the girls to dress up in their fanciest clothing... Take pictures and have your daughter print them out and then she can write her thank you notes on the back of the photos..

We once took a huge group to a beauty school and had them do "Updo's" on each girl it only costs $10. each, then we had them dress up and took them to a house where we served them a fancy dinner by candlelight.. They loved it.

Brunch is also a fancy way to serve them and does not costs as much. Purchase a Stacked cake and decorate it with fresh flowers to make it a little more formal.

I like your tea party idea, everyone can get dressed up with pretty hats and maybe afterward they can watch a good movie or have a make over session. Doing nails and toes, make up each others faces. My daughters loved stuff like that.

Put out the best china and get several kinds of teas. Darjeeling is good for this, and maybe a fruit flavored one. Make cute little sandwiches with the crusts cut off, of course. Cucumber with a little mayo, tuna salad or chicken salad, watercress if you like it, and so on. Serve scones (you can make or buy at Central Market)with clotted cream and lemon curd...very traditional. Tiny cream puffs, petits four, cake, for another course. You can make a lot of this yourself if you like. Make sure they dress up, and encourage party manners. Most boys would probably not play along. Have fun with this.

When my daughter turned 16 we had a fun birthday party at our house. We asked her friends to bring photos they had of her(with them, at various other events, etc.). The kids then made a big collage for my daughter, which became a keepsake for her...she hung it on her wall. Some of the kids who didn't have pictures chose to write a fun message or memory on the poster board. This way the activity was also their gift to her.

We got pizza and sodas. We played music and had cake.
It was low key and lots of fun.

what are you going to have other than fancy sandwiches? Ask your daughter to assist you with the menu. If you prepare something that she may not like, it will go to waste. Try hot wings/buffalo wings with ranch dressing, chicken spaghetti, and nachos w/cheese dip. She and her guests will love it.

All the teenagers I know love music, so clear out a room in your house, put on their favorite tunes, put on a disco ball or strobe light, grab some fun munchies, and have a dance party.
Also, there are some great musicals out. Let the girls get all dressed up and then take a small group to see a musical then have sleepover. They will love doing their hair and make-up and going out. Take lots of pictures then find a good one and purchase frames as a party favor and put the group photo in it.

The spa party is always a big hit! There are so many places now where you can find inexpensive products that the girls love. Perhaps you could set up stations and then once they are done with their "spa treatments" have a meal planned for them with some of your daughter's favorites??

The mall shopping party sounds like fun too!

I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and of course, I am not in your area but what I have done before for young girls is 1. a spa/pedicure party
2. A facial/makeup party. They get to learn how important good skin care is at a young age. We have a lot of products for the younger girls and they get to play dress up with the makeup and learn the proper application. What about a taffy party? Like a taffy pulling party. You can make peppermint, cherry, vanilly and any other flavoring you can find. It is fun and the girls can wrap and take their own gift bag home with them full of candies they made themselves. I did this when I was younger and I LOVED it! It is messy though so make sure you have places for them to clean up and to wear older clothes. Good luck!

If she is a "girly girl" maybe a party at a local nail salon or have a MaryKay type party . . .

If she isn't into that stuff. . . meet at the movies is another possiblity.

If you're not inviting too many guests, there's several small tea rooms around that would be fun. Just open the phone book and check them out. If you have to stay at home and it's a nice day, it's still cool enough outside to have a little garden party/tea. You can probably borrow enough card tables and chairs and Arnie's(oops, the're closed, but Party Boy is just across the street). They carry a good line of inexpensive table cloths and table favors. By all means, have a theme, not just a get-together. Provide cards for each guest to leave a personal greeting to be put in a scrapbook and have lots of film and fresh batteries in the camera.
