Hi all!
I am a new mom to a 3 week old baby boy. We live in a townhousecommunity near Alexandria/Kingstown area, VA. I am looking for new moms in the neighborhood to socialize with, get advice from, etc.

This is a great group of women:
Kingstowne has a babysit coop , eventhough it might be a little early for your little one , it might be a way to meet people...also look in the Kingstonian for such activities....Unfortunatly my kids are a lot older
Hello!
Congratulations! I am posting a link to the INOVA New Mom's group that is mediated by a very experienced (and fabulous!) RN named Susie Hanrahan. The group meets on Mondays near you and Tuesdays at the hospital, and is a wonderful way to meet new moms and ask any questions that you may have at the same time. My closest mom friends have come from this group, and we also plan activities together like lunches and picnics and play groups outside of the Mon/Tues meetings. There is also the added benefit of meeting moms with little ones the same age as yours.
The first time you attend is FREE, and it's 5 bucks a session after that. Since the group stopped me from running to the pediatrician several times and paying a $15 copay, I'd say it was worth it! :)
