McKinney - Due in July, Looking for Friends

I am a member of the McKinney Moms Group and it is a great bunch of women! If you go to Meetup.com and type in Mckinney Moms group, it will come up. I am a "work outside of the home" mom but most of the women in this group are SAHM. They have activities going on all week and a few of them live over by you!!

I moved here last year to the Stonebridge Ranch area from DC and joined this organization. There are a few groups in McKinney based on location. Ours has activites every week. http://www.momsclub.org/

ALso, I am a runner with 3 little ones so if you ever are interested in getting together to run let me know. I have both a single and double jogger.

I am also a new mom and my son is 7 1/2 months old and I have lived in Mckinney for 5 years but I have not established any new friends except for the neighbors, its just hard when I work full time and being a mom is hard work (I am sure you will find out soon) I am off on Fridays so if you are ever interested in doing something email me and we could meet at a park or just go walking. I am 27 and will be married 4 years in Sept. and my husband is a Mckinney native - his parents, grandparents were all born there!!

There's a great playgroup that I belong to here in McKinney. It's called Moms' Fellowship and it's run by Krisinda. If you e-mail me I can invite you to our group through a website called iplaygroups.com. That way you can have access to our playdate calendar and the photos of our kids, etc. It's a lot of fun. We're actually meeting at Towne Lake Park on Friday this week.

You might be interested in a new group that is designed to get new Stay at Home Moms of newborns or young babies (under 6 months) together with their babies.

My goal is to build up a source for new moms to meet other moms who have kids who are going through the same experiences developmentally, as well as to have a resource for later on when our kids are old enough to have playdates.

There is a Mom's group that meets at my church in McKinney called Mother's of Preschoolers. I am not sure of the specifics, but call Crosspoint Church and ask about it.

Hi K., I live in Allen and have a 15 month old. I thought I might help you get plugged in a little by 1st asking if you attend a church anywhere? Our church is young and has a lot of young families who have small children, babies, or are expecting. 17 babies so far this year. Anyway, I thought I'd invite you to join us and check it out. It is Allen Bible Church in Allen, Texas. We meet at Curtis Middle School over across from the big park on Malone at 10 am on Sundays. If you have other questions or already have a church and want to get plugged in other ways, please let me know. I have some friends with babies in McKinney that I'm sure would love to meet you as well. Hope this is helpful!
