Hi Everyone,
I have a 3 1/2 yr old Daughter that I would like to get into some type of activity now that both of her brothers are in school. She goes to preschool two days a week Tue & Thur for 3 hours. I would like to find something for her to do on the other days. Would you recommend Gymnastics or Dance, I know where all the Gymnastic's places are in the Northland but nothing about Dance. Any advice would be great and if you could let me know where all the Dance places are that would be great. I live close to Zona Rosa. Thanks

What can I do next?

hi J., there is Diane's which is right behind the sun fresh on prairie view rd. there is also a dollar store, o'reilly's, pizza hut and more. but it is right behind those stores. You cannot see it from the street so people miss stuff behind there. I know I did until recently. But I knew a couple moms that had there girls in it and they enjoyed it a lot. I have a 6 yo and she wants to be in dance too.

My 3 yr old daughter is currently in dance. She loves it. However, if I had it to do over, I would do gymnastics for a year or two before dance. I think it teaches better balance and coordination- which is important in dance. Watching the girls in my daughter's dance class (all ages 2-4), they are all very unsteady and need help with coordination. I personally think that gymnastics would be a huge help, prior to dance. Now that my daughter is in dance, she won't even consider gymnastics instead. As far as places- I don't know any... I just moved here a few months ago and only know stuff near where I live! Sorry :(

I don't have any advice on dance, but my children and most everyone we know go to Mercury Gymnastics just one exit north of Zona Rosa off Tiffany Springs. They are wonderful!!

CAA (creative arts) does gymnastics AND dance as an all in one class for that age group. Its on Englewood. I dont know of other dance places honestly, Ive coached gymnastics for many years and know more about gymnastics myself, but if you're interested in dance also, that all in one class sounds like the way to go.
