Anyone have any ideas for my daughters 2nd birthday? Hour house id too small for our large family so I wanted to do something outside of the house for under $150 tops. I plan on inviting a friends from daycare and family so I need to entertain children of all ages plus adults which is the tricky part. Her birthday is in November so that excludes a park. Any ideas? I just seemed to be blocked. Thanks

What can I do next?

I had my son's 2nd bday party up at Zona Rosa in the same building as Marshall's, just downstairs in the eating area. Have you been there? They have alot of tables and a play area for kids. It was perfect for my son and all of the kids and the great thing, it was free. Just an idea. We played a few games and the kids had a blast. Also you don't have to make a reservation or anything.

A Gymnastics place is always a hit for all ages. They can run around and bounce on trampolines, jump into foam pits and most of them have a big commercial size blow up slide. I have used "The Edge" in riverside and there's one off of Tiffany Springs Exit off of I-29 in the Northland I can't remember the name of it. But I'm sure there are several in your area. The adults can get into the action too! I've heard Paradise Park in Lee's Summit is also fun.

Good Luck-----J. C

Chuck E Cheese is always a good place. If you live in the Northland area, there is a new one right off of I29 and Tiffany Springs Road or if you live south there is one at 105th and Metcalf or another on 135th street. My daughter's b-day is in January so we are always looking for indoor places to have her party as well. Another place you might check out is the commons at Zona Rosa (again if you live north). We had my neice's party there and it went pretty well.Another place to try is Wonderscope Childrens Museum. They are located in Shawnee but worth the drive for the kiddos to have fun! E.

I'm not sure how large your family is, but have you thought about a semi-outdoor party? I know that Red Barn Farm in Weston has a number of events there. They have some petting animals, and if you make arrangements before they can do tractor/wagon rides. It might make a fun "harvest" birthday to go through the apple orchards. (Obviously by that time there probably wouldn't be any picking!) :)

You might want to look into a Gymboree (if there is one located close to you.) I had my sons b-day party there when he was 3 and it was great. The cost of the cake/juice boxes, etc. is all included in the one price. They do all the setup/cleanup, etc. Just not sure how much they are charging these days.
