Are you in West Houston closer to Katy? If so, check out Katy Moms. It's a support group, playgroup, and online message board for moms and moms to be. No membership fees!

S.,
Have you tried the MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) groups at the local church? I attended the group at First Baptist Katy last year and it was really nice. That is not the church that we attend on Sundays. MOPS is non denominational and everyone is welcome. Its a yearly fee of I think $75.00 and they meet every other Friday. Child care is provided and they have fun activities, speakers, food etc. They also announce things that they might be doing during the weeeks and you can meet up and do those things also..such as a day at the park, going to the zoo etc. I am back at work now so I am not attending but I would love to go back.

S., I'm a current member of the MOMS Club of West Houston, and I've really enjoyed it. E-mail me and I'll get the information to you.

I have absolutely loved the MOMS Club. It's $25.00 a year and there are monthly meetings, and many other activities throught the month (playgroups, park days, gatherings at at another member's house for "coffee break", meeting at Chic-fil-A for "lunch bunch" etc. There is also a babysitting Co-Op within the club, a book club, MOMS night out etc.

You can go to www.momsclub.org to see where the nearest one is around your neighborhood. You can also go to the meeting and see what you think before you join.

Good Luck! :)

Hi Sarah, I have just moved to Katy and am having a really hard time finding a playgroup to join. My children are 6, 3 and 1. My oldest is in school all day, but my boys and I would love to make some friends and join a playgroup. I have had NO luck so far contacting the local Moms Club Organization. I have been part of it before in GA, but the ones here in Katy havent been prompt with responses to joining. If you ever want to get together and start a playgroup of our own, feel free to message me. Ryan and Amelia would probably play lovely together!!
