I'm a mom of eight (7 stepkids and a daughter) and grandma to eight more, and am author of the book 90-Minute Quilts. (you can check this out at 90minutequilts.com) I am currently experimenting with some "green" and organic fabrics to use for quilts for babies, and I need a mom and baby that might want to try one out. The quilt will be made of organic cotton on one side, and the other side will be another sustainable, "green" fabric. The batting inside the quilt is 50% organic cotton, and 50% sustainable bamboo. This will be a "whole cloth" quilt, all white /off white. The mom and baby get to keep the quilt. What I want to find out: if the baby seems to like this quilt of organic/sustainable fabrics better than other blankets, which side of this quilt this baby prefers, and whether the normal baby fluids stain this quilt more than other fabrics. Let me know if you are interested. Mom must be willing to provide written feedback. I am in the Sunland area.

Wow, I thought you would have hundreds of requests by now. hahaha It sounds great! My friend is due any day and is trying to do it as "green" as possible. I would be happy to try it! I have a 7 week old daughter and we live in Tujunga. We are trying to be more green by cloth diapering and using biodegradable laundry products. We hang the diapers to dry so I could test that out with your quilt as well if you like.
