It's happened at my house a ton of times. Hairspray. The cheap stuff.

There's a product called "Oops" that is for ink, oil, tar, adhesive residue and other tough stains. I don't know if it will work on something that's been through the dryer, but it's worth a try. It's in a small can with a flip-top squirter lid, and it might be with the laundry stuff but also with things like copper cleaner and that sort of thing. If you an't find it in a large supermarket or if the clerks aren't helpful, try a hardware store with knowledgeable staff.

My son did this just the other day, new $30 uniform shorts. I was ticked!!!

Like Wild Woman suggested, I googled, tried the results (rubbing alcohol), nada.

I'll try hairspray, but will be watching this post to see if anyone else has tried and true methods.

I use Carbona products for stains. You can get them in your laundry isle, they are usually on the VERY top shelf and are bright yellow bottles. Each one takes care of a specific set of stains.

Dry cleaners have some chemical that removes ink most of the time. If all else fails take it to the dry cleaner and see if they can get it out.
