Seeking Location for Photo Development

the catch is that I want either matte or lustre... NO GLOSSY development. I've tried the places local to me and I got tired of driving around looking and wasting gas! I have tried Target, Rite Aid and Walgreens. Does anyone have any recommendations? I live in Covina and would be willing to drive within a 10 mile radius. Thank you :)

Oops! Let me add this one to my request.. I do NOT do anything online. Had my credit card used once and that was the end of that. No more. :)

What can I do next?

You can try Costco if you have a membership.

I just checked their Photo Center online...

What kind of print surfaces do you offer?
The Costco Photo Center offers two choices for the print surface of your photos. You can choose either glossy or lustre. Glossy is the default option, but some of the benefits of choosing a lustre surface are listed below.
Resists fingerprints: The surface of the print is less likely to show fingerprints which considerably improves the life of your printed photos.
Less reflective than glossy: There is less glare, and less reason to bend photos to avoid glare.
Professional look: Many portrait photographers use the lustre finish.

I recommend going through shutterfly.com. They deliver. They print for professionals photographers so you know that they are always maintaining their ink cartridge. The prints always come out perfect, no risk of colors looking faded or wrong color match (red looks..magenta etc.) because the location you go to (be it Target, Costco, 1-hour photo etc) are not changing their cartridge often enough. And the cost...no more expensive than any other location. I even think it's cheaper. Shutterfly does give you an option between Matte and Glossy.

If you are in a rush and don't want to wait for your orders to be delivered, you can still order through Shutterfly..but have your prints picked up at Target the same day (just can't guarantee the prints will come out perfect since...each Target location is different). But at least that's an option you have for a rush job.

For me, Shutterfly gives you professional prints without paying the price that some Professional print shops charge (professional photographers don't go to Target, Costco etc.)

Hi J.,

When you place your order, you can request either matt or glossy finish. Or you can try place your order at Walmart. You can place your order online and have the option of home delivery.

Best of luck.
