I have provided child care in my home for over nine years, specializing in infant and toddler care. I am listed with the state of Texas. My caregiver child ratio is 1/3 and my home is clean, smoke free, and child friendly. I have one opening available in Sept., as a little girl I have been caring for years will be going to school.
I provide lots of TLC and individualized care in a safe, Christian, family environment. We take daily walks in a stroller built for 3. Included in our daily routine is reading books, story telling, outdoor play and singing. Each child is given individual attention and is held and cuddled. For children age two and up, I use ABeka Book Nursery School for curriculum. Your child will get language development, math (learning numbers), Bible(a short memory verse), & arts and crafts. Hello I been in the in-home day care bussines for 8 years. and to the lady, that is saying we do not have any checks etc. She is totally wrong. We need child development training cpr and first aid, sids and shaking baby certifications in order to manteined our licenses. and also for your peace of mind, a child protective services inspector can come to our home with no approval on our end,to check us, so we are under the watch of the Texas Department all the time, another thing your baby will not be as sick, and he will be with less kids, and in a family eviroment, and every day he or she will see the same person every day. I will recomend you to investigate all the in-home daycares around your area and judge for your self and also ask for references.
I know that the idea of an in-home daycare is appealing. However, the downside to it is that the provider has no checks and balances in place. It is just that person and your baby. There is no way to monitor that person and what they are doing with your child. Personally, I think that until a child is old enough to speak for themselves they should go to a daycare center that has multiple caregivers and people watching. I would look into Primrose, Children's Lighthouse before I looked at any inhome day care places.
