Hi, Moms!
I have started to look for preschool for my 2.5 year old son, and I had no idea that preschool can be so complicated!I'm new in Chicago and I really need your help. Any advice, recommendations on public/private preschools in Lincoln Park area would be greatly apreciated!

Hi M.! Lake Shore Prep also known as "Apple School" is the best! My son and daughter went there through kindergarten and we still talk about great times they had there.
It is on Lill St. near Wells and Division.
My daughter is also a student at Lake Shore Prep. We have been there for a year and I am very happy with it. She enjoys it very much and her teachers have been great. They are located just a bit south of Lincoln Park at 300 W. Hill St (near Division & Wells).

Hi Mimosa... you've got to be the mom from My Gym where Sofia and your son used to go. We miss you guys very much and have been thinking about you lately. We're moving soon so I can't help you much in the preschool arena but I have recently heard that this LoveBug preschool that's opening up is supposed to be really good. The teachers come from Bubbles Academy and I think one might be from Old Town Music - not positive but you should check it out since they are having an open house this month. I may even go there with Sofia just in case we have a hard time selling our house. Congrats on the new baby. You've been on my mind. I was glad to see your name in Mamasource. New Preschool opening soon - teachers from Bubbles Academy! I haven't been along yet...and probably won't use the preschool for my 2 1/2yr old, because we go back to NZ too often to make it worthwhile, but they are having an open month 10-4pm, you could go along and check it out - ww.lovebugschicago.com. I'm going to go along and check out the place for future reference. They are at 1327 N Larrabee. Good luck hunting!!
