Hi- I have taken the last year(2008) off to help my mother who was paralyzed from a major stroke. She passed away late August; after a little time to heal, I hit the job search hard. I have to work evenings because I cannot afford daycare at the moment nor have I come across one I can trust. I am looking for an evening job starting after 6pm. I can work til 4 am. I was in the Mortgage business for almost 12 years. But not looking to go back. I will clean, wait tables, etc....

What can I do next?

Try area hospitals - they're open 24 hours, holidays, etc. and are always looking for staff to work all hours (you can do all kinds of things - food service; housekeeping; data entry; unit secreitary, etc.) I know that the big hospital systems (i.e. Baylor & Texas Health Resources) post their jobs on their websites.

I am So Sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.
Have you thought about being a 911 dispatcher working for the City or a Night Nanny job. I do that part time through an agency and it pays well.
Please let me know if you if you would like further details.
Thanks and Many Blessings.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I do wish your family well.

Just a thought......how about a place like 24 Hr Fitness. They are open 24 hrs, they need staff on hand for reception, etc.

Same goes for a store (grocery type, NOT convenience) that is open 24 hrs?

Good luck
