I have not been to a medical doctor in approx. 3 years to receive my annual exam and pap smear. I have been under the care of a chiropractor for 2 years and rarely get sick. However, I have been wanting to find a doctor that can give me a complete check up to be on the safe side. The problem is that the last doctor I saw was an OB-Gyn in Jacksonville. Some of the criteria I have include: female; Christian (if possible); open to natural remedies (holistic); and someone who takes BCBS!! Any advice or names of possible doctors would be much appreciated. This is my first time on Mamasource!

Hi K., The office of Sekine & Rasner is an awesome group for OB/GYN. Dr's Sekine & Rasner are male but there is a female Dr there too and a few female midwives. They have two locations. One is downtown Jacksonville at Baptist Hospital and the other is in Mandarin on San Jose Blvd. They are kind and I have recommended them to many friends and family. There number is ###-###-####. 2 out of 4? Dr Sun wook Kim Ashchi. She is wonderful. She has 3 offices here in town, Mandarin, OP (area) and her main office is on University, near Memorial. She delivers at Memorial, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. :)
She is Korean, so I'm not sure about the Christian. I ahve never asked her about the Holistic treatments, but the fact that she is Korean, she may be open to it. Dr. Kim-Ashchi has 4 little ones of her own and is very caring about you. :)
She takes BCBSFL, PPO, HMO and Blue Options.

Hi Kymm! I am in the same boat as you, right down to the insurance! I have been here fro almost 2 yrs asnd still havne't found one. Evrone one of the OB/GYN's that ahve been suggested either were male or don't accept BCBS. Although my NP at my family practice office told me last week that she does paps all the time, but would ahve to refer out if I became pregnant. I told her that wouldn't happen (we are done having kids. I have 3!) I will check back to see if anyone has any suggestions.
