I am looking for a great contemporary christian church service that has a lot going on for children in McLean, Vienna, Arlington, or D.C.
Thanks everyone! I'm going to visit McLean Bible Church this weekend. It looks like it will be a great fit. Maybe I'll see some of you there!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is a terrific option, as well. There are congregations in all of the areas that you listed and all over the world. The children's programs are very strong too. Here is a link to more information: www.lds.org, and to find a local congregation: http://www.lds.org/basicbeliefs/meetinghouse
funny, i was going to suggest MBC as well but it seems everyone else got to it first. I am acutally Unitarian but used to go to MBC with my old college room mate and it is a great church. Lon is a great speaker.
Hi J.,
There are a few churches around that have what you are looking for. I go to Church of the Apostles in Fairfax on Pickett Road near Fairfax City Mall. We have Sat and Sun services and a full children's program. We have a website churchoftheapostles.org that you can visit and see if you are interested. We are Anglican now.
There is McClean Bible Church on Rt 7 past Tyson's area. I think they have a website as well.
Hope this helps and welcome to our area.

I second the Mclean Bible Church recommendation, lots of programs for kids and many different support groups! Check out their website - www.mcleanbible.org.

McLean Bible Church is an awesome church. Though a very large church you can join in community and feel really connected. The website is www.mcleanbible.org. You can listen to previous messages and get a fill for our pastor Lon Solomon. The church is located at 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna. Leesburg Pike is route 7, the church is about 2 miles west of Tyson Corner Mall. We have several service options from traditional to more band driven. The kids program is incredible. Besides the Sunday morning activities, in the fall we offer the Awana program for ages 3 to 18. D. R.
If you want a smaller alternative to McLean Bible Church, try Northern Virginia Church of Christ. My three year old really enjoys the Kingdom Kids program and my friends' older children (5 through 8) also seem to enjoy their classes!
Services include terrific music, sharing and fellowship, and thought-provoking sermons. We meet up for mid-week services as well, and I always look forward especially to the fourth week of rotation when we meet up with our smaller 'house church' groups.
Sunday services usually begin at 10:00 a.m. and are held at Oakton High School. When you enter the school campus, held around to the back. (You can watch for and follow the cars to the correct parking lot.) Kingdom Kids is located down the first hallway on your right...just look for the appropriate age group, let the teachers know you are visiting and they will help you sign in. :-)
