Was just wondering if you found a play group yet? I just moved back to Bloomington last month and am looking for one myself.

My husband and I moved to the Bloomington area last January. I was busy with school (MSW) and since I finished this summer, I now have time to get out more with our son, Josh, who turned two years old in September. I don't know the area well and I'm wondering where young moms go to meet up. I've tried Eden Prairie Center's play area, but I stay too busy keeping track of Josh to talk much with the other moms. Any suggestions?

I just moved to Richfield about 2 months ago (from Georgia!). My son is 3 1/2 months. I don't know anyone here yet (other than my co-workers). I would love to meet other moms nearby!
My daughter is only 7 months and much too young for a play group but I wanted to tell you about a park right by my house. It is at the Highland Lake Park Reserve right off of Bush Lake Road. It has tons of trails and things to look at and the most amazing play ground i have ever seen! There are smaller play areas for little kids, enclosed cargo nets to climb on (that way if they fall they dont get hurt) huge slides and everything. It is amazing. There is even an indoor concession area and sitting area with bathrooms. I know it is a little chilly but with a coat and some mittens and a hat, you would be set! I highly reccommend it.
Hi L.,
I just moved into the area too, so I don't really know of any playgroups, but I would like to get out and meet other moms. I have a 4 week old and 15 month old little boys. My oldest would really like someone to play with, I could even meet you at the Eden Prairie Mall play area. My email is: ____@____.com

I belong to an awesome homeschool playgroup in EP. You'd be welcome even though you don't homeschool, have you tried edinbourough indoor park? Kids can go play and moms can chat. In edina close enough to bloomington.-H.
I live in Burnsville, and have a 2 1/2 yr old son. I would be interested in getting together! The best place I know of to bring toddlers and not worry TOO much, is the McDonald's off of Nicollet in Burnsville. The play area is really good for young kids, they just go up on one side, and down the slide on the other. If you have any other ideas, let me know! If you are interested, you can email me at ____@____.com
Thanks!
