First write all you need to get done down and put number by the priority. Then accomplish getting that one item done before moving on to the next one.
I have a lot of the same issues and concerns right now and remind myself worrying will esculate the problem not allow me to think well and I can only do one thing at a time.
First, figure out what you want to do, if you don't have a car, then how will you get there? Bus? Car pool? What experience do you have? Do you need to get your resume together? Have you posted on jobsites?
Then figure out what hours you need your kids to be in preschool. Most places offer three, two or full days a week. Then go from there.
You can do things from home like Alpine Access while the kids are in school, cannot do this job with kids around.
You can go online and take a course towards a job you want to pursue, doing the school work while the kids are in preschool.
You just need to figure out what you want first, then take the baby steps towards it.
I would say first and foremost if you don't have a car, figure out if you want to work from home, how you will get the kids to and from school and if you work outside the home your plans to get there.
I have been home for eight years, got divorced three years ago, dealing with a house that is falling apart that is costing me way too much money but I cannot sell for what we owe, we are dead broke, dealing with hoping when the lease is up on our mini van they will allow me to finance without the greatest credit (that dived with the divorce) and struggling to get a job in the fall, only after I find out if my son gets accepted to full day Kindergarten or not! I have figured out to do before/after school and part time child care to supplement, but realistically that isn't going to keep us going. So I am there with you sister! I just have to take steps in order of importance and priority, then do it a little at a time!
HUGS! I find if you take a deep breath, realize you can only do so much in a day, it all falls into place!
