Are you still looking to work from home?
I'm looking to get started working from home and i'm very skeptical about scams. I would like any and all information or suggestions about working from home. If there are any moms out there that are currently working from home and could provide any advice i would greatly appreciate it.

I don't have any direct advice except this. Go to http://www.workingmother.com/ This is an amazing resource for working mothers. The CEO/editor of the magazine has also written a great book with advice and suggestions for different working situations... This is how we do it by Carol Evans. I'm currently reading it and LOVE it. The magazine is only $10/year and I bought the book used from amazon for about $5. I currently am a post-doc at Baylor/TCH in the medical center and am learning something great from that book everyday. She mentions tons of websites and just lays out the many different types of working schedules that mom's have these days. For example, it may be possible to work something out with your current employer such as job sharing or telecommuting so that you don't have to switch jobs!!!
OH!!! And the best part, if you're going to have to switch jobs, this magazine has a TOP 100 list of the BEST companies to work for as a working mother!!!!
Good luck!
I joined the MOM's team not too long ago and it's great. You work from home as much or as little as you want. The business has been around for 22years and has been very successful every year. Last year, they made over $783 million. There are special perks for working with them, like discounts at Nike, Target, Circuit City and more. Anyway, it isn't a scam, and that's the best part. Contact me if you want more info. Just to let you know, some mom's do this as their full time job, others as part time, and some just to help them get out of debt, but you can make a lot of money.
Staying at home is one of the greatest rewards you can giva a child-beleive me I know. I did it for 9 years while taking care of other peoples children. But now I am older and have decided to go back to school online. But.......I still needed a hobby that would earn me some extra money to pay for my car payment and other things. I signed up for one of those home businesses. I sell Cookie Lee Jewelry and I absolutely love doing it. You get to go to friends houses and other people you meet selling beautiful costume jewelry doing home parties and you get the 50 percent profit. Cookie Lee jewelry is based out of California. We have a sisterhood of some really great girls out here in Texas. Plus its a good way to meet people. No scams. I would love to show you the jewelry or talk with you more about it over the phone.
This is also my hobby because sometimes being a mother of three you need to have time for yourself. So what do you think?
You can find the jewelry on the web cookieleefashionjewelry.com

I stopped teaching three years ago to stay home with my little ones and I babysat. You would be surprised how many people are looking for a responsible sitter. Look for a child close in age to your son and it will be like having a play mate for him. I babysat two kids, for $100 a week for each. That was $800 a month. It was half of my salary as teacher but I was giving half my money to a sitter anyway. Make sure that you pick kids that will get picked up early, usually teachers' kids are picked up early. I was watching one toddler that was getting picked up at 4 pm and then the mom's schedule changed and she wasn't coming till 7 and I had to tell her that I couldn't keep him that late. Good luck!
