Seeking Advice on Fertility Treatments While Working Full-time

May need to start the whole infertility work-up/treatment soon. Also starting full-time job in July that's likely not too flexible. Wondering if anyone can tell me how much time away from work is required in this process?

What can I do next?

I believe its at the hospital, but i haven't been there myself,

a friend went thru this and she was able to maintain, but its diffrent for everyone,

The main thing is you decide what your plan is AFTER the baby,
will you be staying home,or working,

some people have said that the stress of this topic, can cause
problems.

Hi E.,
I went thorugh the whole fertility process and was blessed with healthy, beautiful boy/girl twins. SOOOO worth it all. I was working full time while going through the process and although time consuming it was managable. I went to a doctor in Hamden and was working about 1/2 hour away. The hours were very early in the morning so that it is possible to go on with our lives as regularly as we can. I am a teacher and had to be at work for 8 am, (not too flexible) and was able to still go to the doctor the few times a week it requires. The only time you really need time off is when you have inseminations done (maybe just go to work late) and if you have to have IVF done you need a few days off of work. My doctor said 3-4, but this varies with each doctor. I wish you all the luck in the world. Just believe in this miracle and it will happen!! It may be rough at times but look towards the end result and you will get there! Please feel free to e-mail if you ever have ANY questions or need to talk. It can get very stressful and no one knows what it's like unless you've been there. Best wishes.

E.,
I went through the fertility treatments and used a doctor who not only trained at Yale, but is afiliated with them, and works in private practice; I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the world. If it wasn't for him I would not have my last 2 children, who truly are miracle babies. As my doctor would tell you, they are "the babies who weren't supposed to happen and still at 11 and 9 shock him he smiles whenever they are brought up or he sees them. Let me know if you want his name. The fertility treatments are tough, filled with many emotions, but well worth it in the end. I am now a nursing student and can't wait to graduate so that I can give back to women and Yale what what Yale and my doctor gave to me. Let me know if you need anything else. You can always e-mail me, as I check my e-mail daily. By the way, what will you be doing at Yale?
Hugs,
T.
