My daughter will start Kindergarten this year and i am wondering if anyone has any input on the best schools for someone in Sullivan County? Please let me know your thoughts on the public county schools in our area.
I live in Washington county and work in the school system. I haven't heard any negative remarks about any of the elementary schools in Sullivan County. What area do you live in? My niece teaches kindergarten in one of the small schools.

Well, you are in a better district than us. We are in washington County and the schools here are poor. We moved from MD 2 years ago and my biggest complaint is the school system. Sullivan is supposed to have better schools, I'm not sure of which ones persay, but overall they are supposed to be very good. You are probably safe with your district public school. Look online for the yearly reports of your elementry school and then just call HR and ask about the teacher turn-over, but make sure you don't have 70 year old teachrs there like we do!

Hello, I teach in Sullivan County in Blountville, TN. Our school is Central Heights Elementary and we are located on Hwy 11W next to the DMV in Blountville. I feel that all Sullivan County Schools are staffed by loving and respected teachers and principals. I am partial to Central Heights Elementary and my kindergarten children. I went to school in Sullivan County and now teach elementary music here. Where you live will determine your child's school, unless you haven't settled yet. I think our system has a great group of loving teachers. You should be pleased wherever you are. Welcome to Sullivan County.
My son will be starting next year at Rock Springs. We have friends who have a child there in 1st and they have been very positive.
My son goes to county a school. Everyone seems to be great. Our principal is top notch. She is ALWAYS seen in and around the school. I don't think it could get any better than her!! I too have never heard anything bad about any of the county schools. I & the hubby went to county schools ourselves. many moons ago of course HA!
She should be great in whatever (school) location you are in!
