Between meds and hormones, your system is all upside down. Definitely speak to your Dr. and make sure nothing else is going on. Good Luck.
Hello! I have and two miscarriages in the last 6 months. My first miscarriage was in May and my second in October. With my second miscarriage I was 5 weeks and we were able to see the baby on the US. The following day I went back to the doctor due to bleeding and was told I was having a miscarriage, because the baby's shape was flattened and not round like they day before. I had to take 2 rounds of medicine (can't remember name) to help me pass the baby. Since then, I have experienced periods every 2-3 weeks. We have been using protection as the doctor said to wait at least 3 months before trying. I am just getting concerned about the irregular periods. I am going to call the doctor on Monday, but I just wanted to get feedback to help ease my mind in the meantime. Thanks for any advice or help!

Wacky periods are pretty normal for the first 3-6mo.
DO tell your OB. They may have you take something to regulate them, or come in for tests... But even if its just 'wait it out', its a gold thing for them to have charted.

Welcome to mamapedia!!!
I am sorry for your loss. At five weeks that you were able to see more than a yolk sack is amazing...you typically see arm and legs buds around 6 to 8 weeks...
This is totally normal! it can take up to 6 months for hormones to get back in sync...especially for those further along...I lost Alexis at 22 weeks...it took a while to get "my" regular back. Everyone is different.
you could have been given methotraxate or vaginal misoprostol..there are probably others...however..these are the most common...
I don't have any advice for you...
I just want to say I am so sorry for your loss. May you soon have a full term successful pregnancy and be able to hold a precious little one.
Definitely communicate with your OB/GYN or RE, but this is very common.
You may have taken methotrexate. I just had one round of methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy in November. I had bleeding for about 5 weeks, then light spotting for a week then nothing for a week and then a period then nothing now I'm spotting again.
It takes A WHILE for your hormones to regulate and the methotrexate will affect that. This is part of the reason why you have to wait 3 months.... it's so your cycle can regulate. And also so the methotrexate can get all out of your system. You aren't supposed to even take folic acid for 6 weeks after your last dose.
First of all, I'm so sorry about your losses. I think that you would be well served by going to a fertility specialist to get some testing done to try to find out why you are miscarrying. I had a friend who had several miscarriages and ended up needing to have progesterone shots. Then she was able to carry 2 babies to term.
I would not try to conceive again until you've done this. So very sorry you are going through this.
