Try, in Naperville, Dr. Meaghan Flannery. She is by Edwards on Brom St. Sorry, I don't have her number with me right now, but I love her. She is a high risk doctor and she is very good about listening.
After having 2 c-sections, I'd like the chance to try a VBAC. Both of my babies were posterior (sunny-side-up) and didn't progress after hours of pushing. (My second labor was a VBAC attempt, with a doula to help, and drug-free.) Anyone know of a doctor or practice that would allow or even encourage an attempt at a vaginal birth?

I really liked Karen Barr and Noreen at Copley Hospital in Aurora. They are midwifes. I'm not sure if they do VBACs.
Hi C.,
I had a laparotic myomectomy, then a C-Section, and then an attempt at a VBAC. It ended up in an emergency C, but my doc was willing to let me try. His name is Lanny Wilson from Hinsdale, IL and works out of Hinsdale Hospital.
He is devout to his church and even led a prayer when he visited after my son was born.
I adore him and have been told that all of the nurses would choose him as their doc if they could. I don't believe he takes insurance though (I file the paperwork on my own after the appointment and get reimbursed).

I don't think you should try a VBAC after two cesareans. They are reluctant to let you try even after one. The risk of rupture is greatly increased each time. In addition, if you failed to progress in the past, you probably will again.
Hi C.! How long ago was your last child born? That will make a difference in whether an OB will do a vbac. I know that the Rush Copley OB/GYN associates are very good with doing vbacs and will do it. I have attended 4 births that were vbacs and they were all wonderful births and everything went great. I hope this information helps you out. And, even after having 2 c-sections, they will let you try. I had a client that had a great vbac after 2 previous sections. Just to let you know, it can be done. Good luck.

I am a first time mom to a 9 month old boy and I would go back over and over to my OB-GYN for every pregnancy hereafter. My OB was Michael Feingold in Naperville - the nurses at Edwards say he's slow but methodical - does everything by the books and exactly as he was taught. I had to have an urgent C-Section and I never worried because I knew I was in good hands. He made sure that even though I had a C-Section this time, I could have a vaginal delivery next time.
Here's his info:

Hi C.,
I would suggest Home First. ###-###-#### www.homefirst.com ? I think? They are wonderful doctors.
Good Luck!
Hi C.--
I've had 1 c-section and my doctor said I could try a VBAC for my second. He is personable, warm and knowledgeable (I went through 3 doctors until I found him). He delivers at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield and has offices in Carol Stream, St. Charles and Naperville.

Dr. Lori Anderson in Arlington Heights was a big advocate for my VBAC (only VBA1C, not VBA2C!) Plus, my second baby wasn't in the correct position either. She told me that few doctors will attempt VBACs when they don't present head down, but if she could reposition the baby quickly and easily, she'd let it proceed. It all turned out great--thanks to Dr. A (and God, of course!)
I didn't realize until afterwards that the VBAC didn't matter that much though. Our ideas of what makes the perfect birth don't really match up with reality. And as you said, if you get your prayers answered for having beautiful babies, then you're very lucky! Best of luck to you, however the baby comes.
