Seeking a Pediatrician That Will Treat My Unvaccinated Child

I am seeking a ped in the Boynton Beach area (or surrounding areas) that will not have a problem with me not wanting to vaccinate my children. I have always vaccinated in the past but I do not want to anymore. Does any one have a ped that is willing to still see them and has anyone had an incident with any of these illnesses, how they treated it?? thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi C.. Good for you in making your decision. I think that I have responded, in the past, to a few of your vaccine concerns. We also do not vaccinate, and we see Dr. Santiago at Pediatric Associates. I see her in the Royal Palm location...but I know she also works in Boynton. I am not in love with the practice, b/c it is always so busy...but she is a great Dr. She is the mom to young children as well. She has never once questioned me about not vaccinating. She is kind and sincere, and I feel like she truly cares about our family. Good luck to you! Another mom mentioned Dr. Colon in Hollywood. My girlfriend sees her..and she sounds awesome...but for some reason I do not think that she works with insurance. On another note, you asked if anyone has had any of the illnesses that kids are vaccinated against. Certainly any illness our kids have to face would be scary..but just a few stats to ease your mind. Polio has not existed in the US since 1979, and not anywhere in North, Central or South America since sometime in the 80's. Our kids are still vaccinated against it, and 8-10 kids per year are permanently paralyzed by the polio vaccine. Another note...I was looking at a nearby Montessori to send my daughter to. I asked if they had any issue with her not being vaccinated. They said absolutely not...and that they recently had a case of chicken pox in their classroom...and the one who had it was one that had been vaccinated against it! Vaccines are not cure alls...and additionally they have many dangerous side effects. I am so proud of your decision! Take Care!

We have Dr. Stanley Dober right now, none of our children are vaccinated. He is not anti-vaccine, just somewhat libertarian. He is affiliated with Pediatric associates. Our favorite choice is Dr. Rydland in Miami, but that is a long way to drive.

Hi C.

I live in Boynton too and I don't vaccinate. I travel to Coral Springs to Dr. Presutti's office. It's not that bad of a drive, but then again I don't run my kids in for every sniffle. I see Dr. Colon she is an MD but very alternative medicine friendly.
The phone is ###-###-####. If you want to send me your email we can chat further.
Good luck,
C.
