Dr. Fisher is fantastic. She's actually in Westchester (La Tijera & Sepulveda) and does have privileges St. John's (that's where I delivered too). A friend recommended her to me and we couldn't be happier.

He isn't in the Marina he is in Santa Monica. Ocean Ave. Pediatrics, Robert Hamilton. He has been my daughter's pediatrician for 7 going on 8 years. He is right across from St. John's. I lived in the Marina and was always referred to Pediatricians in Santa Monica. I hope you find one. If not Dr. Hamilton is wonderful.

Good Luck!

This isn't in the Marina but it's a great group with all of the help in the right places. (Large physician staff, office is open early in the morning to 7pm, on call doctors every night, weekend hours for sick patients, etc.) I lived in Westchester and used them for years without a problem.

Hi S. -

I went through the same thing: moving while pregnant. From West LA to the South Bay.
I would highly recommend that you not look for a pediatrician solely because they have privileges at St. Johns's. I would recommend that you find a pediatrician that has privileges at the hospital where you would ultimately be treating your son if he became sick. I am delivering at Cedars, but the pediatrician i found does not have prvileges at Cedars.
Any hospital, however will provide the on-call pediatrician to do the initial exam once you give birth.
Then you make an appt. with your new pediatrician to take him in within 3-5 days after you go home.
So if there is a hospital near where you live, where you would want your pediatrician to have privilges, make sure you choose a pediatrician that has privileges there. In my opinion, finding a pediatrician with privilges where you give birth is not as important as finding one that you like who will be caring for your baby on a long-term basis.
That is my two-cents -- hope this helps a little.
