Seeking a New More "Natural" Pediatrician

Hello moms.
I was wondering if any of you could refer me and my boys to a pediatrician that uses both natural ways to heal and the uses of western medicine. I have chosen not to vaccinate my children and would like to have a doctor that would be more supportive of my decision and allow me to be involved in the choices regarding their health. While researching I seem to find that most can be pretty extreme on one side or the other.
I live in the Garland area but would be willing to drive some distance for the right doctor.
Thank you for all of you help,
C.

So What Happened?

Well I just got back from a free consult with Dr. Tammy Kennedy in Dallas. She is awesome. She took her time and answered all of my questions. She has chosen herself to vaccinate her boy and does vaccinate in her office but is respectable of the choice that some do not wish to do so. She said that just because some people choose a different path than most she does not want them to feel odd or uncomfortable coming to her for health concerns and help. So I have chosen to take my boys to her.
Thanks for your help,
C.

Hi C.,

When I had my baby 3 months ago, I decided not to give any vaccine. I had to look for a new pediatrician because the one I had was too easy on giving prescriptions and was pushing for the vaccines. I've met with 3 pediatricians and Dr Cheryl Eley (Children's Choice Pediatrics, Medical Center in McKinney) was the one who I preferred. She is very thorough in her check-ups and she doesn't push you to vaccine your child.
I also prefer the "natural way" to fight any disease, she doesn't know a lot about that but she is very open. One important thing is that she listens! I like her a lot and am very satisfied.

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer not to vaccinate?

Dr. Anurhada Agrawal is wonderful. She writes FEW prescriptions, believing in the body's ability to heal itself. She is supportive of vaxing, not vaxing, or vaxing on a different schedule - whatever mom wants!
She is also pro-breastfeeding, attachment parenting and co-sleeping. She has offices on Live Oak by Big Baylor and in Frisco. Her number is ###-###-####.

I found this Pedi while looking for some info while doing call one night. I know nothing about her, but it sounds like what you are looking for and maybe worth a call.
