Coordinators for Cultural Homestay International work with exchange students from around the world who come to America to experience life with a local host family and attend a local high school for one semester or two semesters.
As a Coordinator you are making a difference around the world by offering families the opportunity to host an international high school students from over 35 countries! Coordinators develop relationships with schools, host families and students to ensure that the experience is a success for everyone involved.
As a Coordinator, you:
Help recruit and select host families in your area for programs lasting one semester or a full academic year.
Assist in matching students with host families
Build and maintain relationships with local schools
Represent and promote C.H.I.'s programs in your community
Provide guidance to students and host families throughout the experience

The process:
Coordinators are interviewed, including references and complete background check, then trained by C.H.I.'s Area Administrator. Coordinators are responsible for recruiting and screening host families by conducting host family interviews, reference checks, and then aid in the selection of a student for the host family. Coordinators act as a liaison to local high schools and assist in the enrollment of the students. Throughout the year, the Coordinators are responsible for the supervision of each of their students, including monthly contact with the students and host family to complete monthly reports; 3 personal visits with the students; as well as contact with the local high school for grades each quarter. Coordinators are in constant contact with the area administrator throughout the year and are invited to participate in all training seminars.
