Hey Moms!
What secret ingredient do you put in your deviled eggs to make them more interesting? I tend to just use mayo, sometimes a little mustard, and a sprinkle of paprika. Does anyone add anything different?

My mother in law used mustard, vinegar, mayo and paprika. I've never cared for deviled eggs but hers are wonderful! I love them.

Suzanne,

Instead of mayo I use Miracle Whip. I believe it has vinegar in it but it does taste really nice.

Enjoy,
L.

I put just about a teaspoon on vinegar in mine to give it just a hint of tartness. Combined with the yellow mustard, it is delicious.

I use some ranch dressing in mine. I just decrease the amount of mayo a little bit and add some of this. It adds a little zip.

This is my absolute favorite deviled egg recipe...I usually cut the eggs in 1/2 and fill them rather than use the whole egg as the recipe calls for, however.

Equal parts mayo and mustard (dijon, preferably) and then top with fresh chives or dill instead of paprika. Pretty this way too. Always a hit. Alternately you could use less mustard and add some curry powder, if you like a curry flavor.

yes, just the same things, mayo, yellow must, or dijion, S&P, Garlic powder, Onion Powder, sometimes a scoop of DILL pickle relish ....... BUT I'll tell you what really makes my deviled eggs... mix the yolk fillings with a electric handmixer if you have one ........ it really whips them and makes them fluffy!! I also then put it in a zip lock bag and cut the corner off as a pastry bag and pipe the filling into the eggwhites....... Suzanne you have me craving these now!!! Happy Holidays!!

HI - I used to make a homemade sweet zucchini relish and mix a little of this in. My family loved them! There are many good relishes in jars to purchase. Sweet red pepper relish would be good also. Good Luck!!
