I cut the seams off when I was little. Or, I wore tiny socks under the tights so the seams didn't dig in. They have those little socks that are supposed to hide in the shoes for adults, I wonder if they have them in kid sizes.
I am at my wits end with the morning fights. My daugher has to wear tights (or socks, but she won't wear socks) with her uniform. She wears socks other times, but won't with her uniform...
Anyway, I understand her frustrations with the seams as I have them too, but I can't handle the temper tantrums. I have tried everything. She blows up the very minute the seam touches her foot, she won't walk around for a minute to see if it feels better, she won't just get another pair on her own and try them on...she instantly goes into histarics.
SO, I want purchase some seamless tights for her. I am hoping this will solve the issue, but I can't get them locally. I must order online. I would like to hear from other moms regarding them before I make the investment.

I don't think hardly any of my daughter's tights have seams. The only ones that do are the nylon ones. Is your daughter allowed to wear the thicker, cotton ones? They are so much comfier and hardly any have seams (and if they do, they're not like the nylon ones). My daughter's asleep right now so I can't double check, but try The Children's Place. You can order online or go to one of their mall stores. They are good quality and if you get them on sale, they're some of the better priced ones out there.
If I had to wear them I wouldn't want that seam on my toe either...I almost have to agree with the fit. I see you have a suggestion.
Would she do footless tights and socks? Or socks inside her tights?
My kiddo is sensitive to the seams in his socks, so we turn them inside out. The seam touches the shoe - not his foot. Maybe worth a try until you find some tights? Good luck! ~ D.
I had the same problem with my daughter, who now at age 9 has been diagnosed with ADHD and sensory issues. The sensory stuff with clothes has gotten a little better in the last few years. It can still take ages for her to get ready in the morning because things don't "feel right" but at least there aren't meltdowns very often anymore.
I never actually invested in the seamless tights or socks when it was an issue for us. Sometimes for us turning socks inside out helped. I would also try the footless tights, if she can/will wear shoes without socks. My daughter never wore tights for years and we had certain socks she wore again and again. Nothing with any embroidery. I had to pick my battles with her clothes but then again she didn't have to wear a uniform.
There is a newish clothing line for kids with sensory issues, you might check it out:

They don't have much in the way of tights or socks, unfortunately.
Sorry that's not much help!
Good luck.
I only have boys but we've had issues with sock seams. My son would do the same thing, keep trying to adjust and then have a fit instead of trying a different pair. Make the investment and keep your child comfortable. It's worth it to not have the morning stress.
what about footless tights?
Don't put them on her and when she gets in trouble at school she will learn about natural consequences and maybe that will be enough. Perhaps you could talk to the teacher about it and get a little help. Just a thought?
I know this isn't exactly the question you asked, but I agree with the mom who said maybe she should be allowed to go without and learn about the consequences of her choices. Of course, if there's a more comfortable alternative you can work on getting those, too. Until then, you could give the choice of taking the tights in a bag to school or putting them on at home. That way, when she's told at school that she must where them, it won't inconvenience you and she can simply go put them on.
Most tights these days are seamless. Hanes make a great tight, opaque, a little thicker and then there are the lighter weight ones. Try K-Mart, Target, Fred Meyer, Macy's, Penney's, lots of folks have them. You can go online and order direct from Hanes, www.hanes.com.
My daughter wore tights every day she was in elementary and middle school. She was allergic to the cold and would break out in hives, no kidding. I worked days and my husband worked evenings and he was getting her ready for school each morning. If her tights had seams, she would have been in fashion trouble....Dad would not have paid attention to straightening those seams. I wish you luck in pursuit!
We like the Land's End and LLBean tights -- they go in the wash and they last forever.
