I'm new to Albuquerque and wanted need to find a school for my son. We just moved here and I need to find an apartment and elementary school. I would appreciate and suggestions for schools or neighborhoods. I'm trying to find something not to far from the airport. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I recommend Monte Vista Elementary School it is just north of central on Richmond and Monte Vista. It is a great school with great teachers. I went there and know some people who kids go there now and theu love it. The area around the school is also very nice.

Monte Vista Elementary is great. I have a friend who teaches 1st & 2nd there. Nob hill is a great (albeit expensive) area to live. Nob Hill is the closest you can get to the airport while still in a safe area. North of central is best. It is worth the extra expense for a safe/good school (Especially here in ABQ). you have to be carful when living by the airport we live off carlilse and it queit around hee but over by the burger king and the car rental places its not so great the apts for rent by the gas sation on the conner of carlilse and gibson there is a good school right across the street.best of luck
