I just moved to ontario california. How do you go about finding what school district you are in and when do you need to sign up your child for kindergarten?

Contact your school - K registration has probably already started since school starts August 9th.
Here is a link that has contact information for all the school districts in Ontario. Give them a call and based on your address, they should be able to tell you which school your child should be attending.
There are 2 school districts in Ontario. If you are South of the 60, you are in probably in Mountain View School District. North of the 60 is Ontario-Montclair. You can get the numbers off the city website listed in the first answer.
