Sanitary Pads

Since having a baby and going off birth control, I'm now dealing with a medium flow period. Previously it was light flow and I could wear pantyliners. Now I have to use regular pads, but every time I try a brand they end up being so big and bulky. Some are really wide too. Anyone have suggestions on regular flow pads that don't have wings, are not super wide or bulky?

PS, I'm not comfortable wearing tampons yet after having a baby, so that is why I am looking for pads. Thanks

What can I do next?

Infinity, the unscented ones (not Radiance) are soft and absorbent. They are sold by Always. They do make a couple of options that do not have wings but do have the Infinity layers. You might also try their ultra thins. I have tried a number of options over the years and I think they are the best, and prefer Always over any other brand in general. You might also consider absorbent underwear (like Dear Kate) if you choose not to have wings. If you are petite, consider pads aimed at teens.

I think Always make a new Infinity brand that is almost like a very thin foam material, but very absorbant. I have average flow, never heavy and these work fine.

Always Infinity. They are super thin and I just love them. I get the ones with wings, but they have several different versions so I assume they make some without wings.

I use Always ultra thins with no wings - green package and the pads are wrapped in yellow covers. I have to search at Target to find them since so many have wings.

I HATE wings on pads, probably because I'm not necessarily the best "groomer" down there if it's not summer and that much stickiness ends up catching more than just the inside of my underwear!

Always does make the kind with wings, but they also make them without. I love, love, love Always without wings. I buy the green package, and I think they work great!!!

The next step up from a liner might be Always Slender. I believe they are more suited for teens so they would not be as wide and bulky as a regular pad.

I never could wear tampons. I got horrible cramps each and every time I tried to use them.

I like having a wider pad with wings so I know the coverage is complete. Since you've never gotten used to full size pads I suggest you try a Jr. size or those made for young girls.

I can't think of any pads that don't have wings though because most everyone wants wings to protect the sides of their underwear so you might be out of luck on that.

I use Kotex ultra thin long. I've never been able to use tampons and I've been using Kotex exclusively for around 15 years. I've tried a bunch of other brands also (with wings and without) from free samples and haven't found any that I like better than Kotex.

Poise now makes pads, liners, etc. Not just adult diapers lol. since they are newer products you can still get free sample to try it out and they send several diff kinds from light flow days to liners to a light pad. poise.com
They have 6 diff absorbencys, nice options no wings and not bulky,
Good Luck

I like the kotex ultra thin or ultra thin long. No wings. I never liked tampons. Now I take bc pills in a way so I don't get a period unless my body really needs one. I can't remember the last time I had a period!

I buy the CVS version of Always without wings. I hate wings but wingless pads are hard to find now. Stay free also has pads without wings but I don't think they are super thin.

I really love Stayfree thins. They are the brand I have used since I was a teen. I use the ones with wings, but they also make them without. I don't care for Always because of the plastic top layer (which works superb by the way), but it irritates me. My sister loves her Kotex and they don't have wings. Good luck! this is expensive and hard to figure out!
