I am wondering if there are other SAHM's, like me, who are also teachers and might be interested in working with kids K-12 here and there.

What can I do next?

Hi R.,
I am a SAHM of 2 children, a 2 year old boy and 10 month old girl. Before being a mommy, I was a special education teacher for 12 years. I worked mostly with LD kids in inclusionary and self contained settings, but have experience with many different disabilities. I also worked with plenty of children in regular education settings, including co teaching and leading many lessons in a regular ed classroom. I also taught regular ed summer school several times.
I'd love some information on your consulting business. Thanks!

I am a SAHM and elementary teacher. I have been tutoring this year in order to stay at home but I am always looking for more opportunities for work. I would love to hear more about your business and can send you my resume and references.

R.,

I am a SAHM, almost a certified teacher (student teaching in the fall of 07). I am looking to teach High School Math. I am married (8 years in April) and a mom of a 6yr old boy (Davyd) and 5 yr old girl (Abby). Both my children have special needs. I would rather work with high school age kids and I have a passion for MATH. Especially higher math (trig, calculus, differential equations, etc.).

Hi. I am an attorney, but am interested in moving into the teaching realm and am not sure how to make the transition. I particularly want to work with elementary school students. I am currently pregnant (due in June) and have a 4 and 2 year old also. Do you know what steps I have to take to become a teacher in Arizona (education classes/certification,etc.)? I figured if I needed additional schooling i could do that online while I was on maternity leave. Thanks.
