I am as much of a 're cycler' as the next person...and more than many...
HOWEVER...
Some things (IMO) are just destined for trash bin...
Used 'undies' 'rank' (pun intended) right up there!! lol
Best Luck!

The thread on what to do with old bras brings up a related question: what about old underwear? If the ones in good condition are bleached and washed, are there places that would accept them? Any good creative re-use ideas for the ones that *aren't* in such good condition?
thanks for the replies - I googled "fabric recycling" and found this interesting link about how Goodwill processes their clothing donations
http://liberatedspaces.wordpress.com/2010/02/19/goodwill-... so I guess they *can* find a re-use for clothing that isn't in resale condition!

Some things are just destined to end up in the landfill.
Would you want to use a pillow stuffed with old undies? LOL
Why do we insist on having other people wear our underwear? Are you washing out your toilet paper, too? Let it go, people!
I think I read (on the goodwill site?) that even if donated items aren't sellable, they do find something to do with as much as they can. I used to work in a lab where we used rags constantly for cleaning, etc. They were squished into a large cube, like a bale of straw. You could tell they were usually old t-shirts, but every once in a while there would be someone's stretched out, threadbare tighty whiteys. I'm guessing that's what happens to a lot of that stuff.
My mom used to save them for cleaning.
I guess I wear mine until they aren't at all in 'good' condition, and then I throw them out...
I stuff mine into the toes of strappy sandals before I put them away for the season. Helps the shoe keep its shape. If anyone is close enough to be invited into my closet, then they are close enough to see my repurposed old undies.
I just read about this in a San Francisco newspaper that there are companies that take old clothing that isn't usable and recycle it into new material/fabric so that it WON"T go into the landfill (holey shirts, holey socks, old underwear). You can try and search for one in your area online, or talk to your goodwill because they usually send all their "unsellable" clothing to companies like this.
I do not donate old bras or undies. That is gross to me.
Mine go in the trash bin.
Cleaning rags, especially if it's something outdoors where you wouldn't mind using an old pair of underpants (maybe the car?).
You could ask. I think the Goodwill locally takes them.
